Trend reversal accomplished: The IWA 2023 was so good.

An entire industry is on the upswing: IWA OutdoorClassics 2023 confirms a noticeable turnaround and experienced busy activity and an inspiring atmosphere in a total of 9 exhibition halls over the past four days. The approximately 1,100 exhibitors were followed by 34,000 trade visitors from a total of 119 countries to Nuremberg. In this way, IWA OutdoorClassics impressively solidifies its role as the leading trade fair for the global trade in the fields of hunting, shooting sports, outdoor equipment, and security. The conditions could not be better for the start of the anniversary year of IWA OutdoorClassics, which will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary next year.

"We have had four wonderful days behind us." This is the first feedback from Thomas Preutenborbeck, member of the executive board of NürnbergMesse GmbH, directly after the last day of the fair. "The entire industry, which has supported us and thus preserved its home over the past years, can now collectively rejoice in this powerful comeback and the success of IWA OutdoorClassics!" he also emphasized and specifically thanked everyone who has adhered to and contributed to the concept of IWA OutdoorClassics. Preutenborbeck is particularly pleased about the many "positive feedback conversations with the exhibitors and the high number of satisfied trade visitors" and is confident that "this has now laid the foundation for a successful future."

The winners of this year's IWA Knife Awards

This year, three winners were awarded the IWA Knife Award on the new BLADE Demo Area. Manufacturas Muela is pleased with the win in the "Trade visitors favorite" category. The victory in the "Innovation" category goes to Laguiole en Aubrac. The title in the "Classic" segment went to Otter Messer. In each category, around 20 products participated in the competition. The winner was selected by a six-person jury in each category.

Anniversary: IWA OutdoorClassics celebrates 50 years!

The focus is already looking ahead: Next year, manufacturers, dealers, and industry leaders will gather in Nuremberg to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of IWA OutdoorClassics. "IWA has now achieved gold status. "We will use the wave of enthusiasm to put together a program that is appropriate for the occasion of the anniversary, together with our customers and partners," said Preutenborbeck.
