Thermal camouflage for tanks - IS style

Does it work? We don't know. But the gentlemen from the Islamic State - HERE we recently took a look into their workshop for infantry weapons - must have had something in mind.

The apparent sunshade is actually not one, but serves to protect the tanks from thermal cameras in the air: drones, US and Russian air force. Many want harm to Daesh fighters. Those without proper air defense need ideas on the ground.

Both tanks - a T-55 at the top and a T-72 at the bottom - have been given two frames to which strands of leather are attached.
