Does it work? We don't know. But the gentlemen from the Islamic State - HERE we recently took a look into their workshop for infantry weapons - must have had something in mind.

The apparent sunshade is actually not one, but serves to protect the tanks from thermal cameras in the air: drones, US and Russian air force. Many want harm to Daesh fighters. Those without proper air defense need ideas on the ground.

Both tanks - a T-55 at the top and a T-72 at the bottom - have been given two frames to which strands of leather are attached. They are supposed to prevent the tanks from being detected and taken out from the air. Thermal camouflage, handmade. Aloha snackbar! HERE is a look into the IS tank workshop.
