The parts of ERATAC

ERATAC, the tactical brand of Recknagel GmbH, based in Bergrheinfeld near Schweinfurt, has been selected as the official parts supplier for the German Armed Forces' new G95 assault rifle. For Recknagel GmbH, whose roots date back to 1867, this contract award represents another milestone in the company's development and confirms the Franconian manufacturer's technical expertise in the high-end military segment.

The G95 is the German Armed Forces' new standard assault rifle, based on the proven Heckler & Koch HK416 A8 design. The system will be introduced in two main variants – G95A1 (long version with 16.5-inch barrel) and G95KA1 (compact version with 14-inch barrel) – and will be the future standard weapon for numerous soldiers. As part of the major order, Heckler & Koch will purchase several ERATAC products for different weapon configurations.

The German government has recently significantly increased the total volume of this armament project. In total, the framework agreement for the G95 system provides for the delivery of up to 250,000 assault rifles, after the originally planned quantity of around 118,000 systems was revised upwards. For ERATAC, this results in a long-term delivery program over several years, combined with a significant production volume and a high level of vertical integration “Made in Germany.”

To meet this demand, Recknagel GmbH is continuously investing in modern CNC machines and highly automated manufacturing technologies. At the same time, the Bergrheinfeld production site is being expanded to increase capacity and ensure long-term delivery capability. The combination of industrial expertise, innovative capability, and process quality strengthens the company's role in the government and military market environment in the long term.

With this order, Recknagel is further expanding its position as one of the leading German and European manufacturers of rifle scope mounts and tactical accessories. Participation in the G95 project underscores the company's high precision, reliability, and manufacturing expertise—a promise of quality that is valued internationally and has been part of the Recknagel GmbH brand image for over 150 years.
