On December 4, the Polish Armed Forces received the first 15 BORSUK infantry fighting vehicles, part of a contract for 111 units. The BORSUK is an amphibious vehicle designed to protect infantry and features advanced armament and high mobility. Delivery is scheduled between 2025 and 2029, along with training and logistics support.
On December 4, in the presence of senior government officials, the first 15 production models of the BORSUK (BADGER) infantry fighting vehicle were handed over to the Polish Armed Forces in Stalowa Wola. The contract between the state armaments agency and a consortium of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. and Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. covers the delivery of 111 BORSUK infantry fighting vehicles. The contract value is approximately PLN 6.57 billion gross. Delivery is scheduled for 2025-2029. The agreement also includes a training and logistics package.
The BORSUK armored personnel carrier is a modern, amphibious vehicle designed to transport and protect infantrymen from firearms, anti-tank grenade launchers, and IEDs. The BORSUK's armament consists of a 30 mm Mk 44S Bushmaster cannon, a double PPK Spike launcher, and a 7.52 mm UKM-2000C universal machine gun. The armament is located in the ZSSW-30 remote-controlled turret system. The BORSUK has very high tactical mobility, high firepower, and high ballistic and mine resistance.
