The TigIR thermal imaging attachment from ANDRES INDUSTRIES is unparalleled in precision, boasting a dispersion circle of only 6cm at 500m. The civilian version is available for rental, allowing hunters to experience its capabilities without the full purchase price.
The thermal imaging attachment from the Berlin company ANDRES INDUSTRIES is certainly the most powerful and precise thermal imaging attachment on the market. During testing with the German Bundeswehr, a TigIR-6M with a G23 reached a dispersion circle of only 6cm at 500m. However, this outstanding performance comes at a price of 9000. The Berlin manufacturer now offers the civilian version, the TigIR-6Z+, as a rental unit. This allows hunters to rent the device only for this season or even on a weekly basis. This saves money! And for those who don't want to part with their TigIR, they can even have the rental fee credited towards the purchase price.

What many do not know is that even the civilian TigIR-6Z+ can be mounted directly on the Picatinny rail with a Recknagel mount. Only in this way can the civilian device achieve the highest precision described above. This type of mounting is no longer prohibited even in Germany, provided that you have a hunting license.
To ensure the exact optical axis height of the used riflescope, the manufacturer also offers suitable adapter plates. These are firmly screwed to the housing, ensuring repeatability as well.

Of course, the repeatability of the mounting on the weapon is one of the most important prerequisites for the smallest dispersion circles. Nevertheless, such precision is initially surprising for the technically interested user. After all, a sensor pixel at 500m already has the size of 11cm. How could one achieve dispersion circles of 6cm with that? The manufacturer is happy to provide an answer upon request: The sensor image is extrapolated to 2 to 8 times the resolution with an AI algorithm. This keeps the image remarkably sharp even with heavy digital zoom.

Of course, it is of little use to the shooter if he can see the target sharply but the adjustment of the device is only pixel by pixel. However, Andres Industries has also considered this. Through SPC (Sub-Pixel Collimation), the image can be adjusted in particularly small steps to match the riflescope.

Whether you go hunting occasionally or are considering permanently acquiring a TigIR, renting a unit is a good opportunity to put the TigIR to the test. HERE is where you can find the TigIR rental page from TigIR manufacturer Andres Industries.
