Terrorism, Hybrid Warfare, and Intelligence

For those who act quickly and are interested in today’s crises, here’s a particularly hot tip for next week: The seminar “Terrorism, Hybrid Warfare, and Intelligence” examines current security challenges in an increasingly complex global landscape. The focus is on the strategies of state and non-state actors, hybrid threats, and the role of intelligence services in analyzing, preventing, and combating modern security risks. The subject matter is as fascinating as the speakers: terrorism expert Nicolas Stockhammer, Colonel Markus Reisner—well-known from radio and television—and the intelligence experts from FOREUS …

Colonel Markus Reisner: “It’s war; we just don’t recognize it.”

Participants will gain insights into theoretical concepts, operational perspectives, and current case studies from international conflicts. The goal of the seminar is to develop a deeper understanding of the dynamics of modern forms of conflict as well as the importance of intelligence structures within the security architecture. The format of the event is also practical: blended learning means there will be an in-person session at Danube University Krems, while students from around the world can participate via Zoom.
