Taskforces Drones in Switzerland

Fifteen recruits completed training in Thun to become first-person view drone pilots so that they could subsequently be deployed with the troops in a field trial. Over a period of four weeks, they used their skills to support the development of operational procedures for attack drones. 

The training and field trial further expanded the Swiss Armed Forces' capabilities in the field of drones and took place in the context of the Drone Task Force with the participation of the Swiss Armed Forces, the Federal Office for Armament armasuisse, and external partners.
