The US Army has completed its Squad Designated Marksman Rifle with the addition of the TANGO6 1-6x24 scope from Sig Sauer. This modified version features FDE anodized aluminum, BDC illuminated reticle, red horseshoe dot for quick target acquisition, and more. Daniel Horner won USPSA Tactical Division using the civilian version.
Piece by piece, the US Army has assembled its rifle and accessories for the Squad Designated Marksman Rifle (SDMR). The basis is a 7.62 NATO G28 rifle from Heckler & Koch, equipped with an OSS suppressor and Harris Bipod. What was missing so far was the optic, which has now been found: the TANGO6 1-6×24 scope from Sig Sauer.
The one shown here is the civilian version, which is already available. However, the US Army will receive a slightly modified version. It will feature: a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) anodized aluminum main tube, a 762 Extended Range Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC) illuminated reticle in the front focal plane, an ultra bright red horseshoe dot for quick daylight target acquisition, a lockable illumination scale, a Power Selector Ring (PSR) Throw Lever, and a laser-etched scope level indicator for mounting. HERE is the civilian version of the TANGO6.

P.s.: The title image shows Daniel Horner. He won the USPSA Tactical Division for the 10th time in a row this year, using the civilian version of the TANGO6 scope.
