TAD - Spectre 22 Liter Backpack

05/27/2017By Redaktion

Triple Aught Design recently introduced the Spectre 22 Liter backpack. This is the first of the new Spectre series of backpacks, with versions of 34 liters and 46 liters capacity to follow. In addition to the innovative design with many features as showcased in the video, the biggest innovation is the use of LS-42 fabric.

Originally developed as sailcloth, it is lighter, more abrasion-resistant, and more weatherproof than the previously used Cordura or other fabrics. The backpacks are therefore more resistant to rain, although they are not completely waterproof. The fabric has only been used by TAD in the new Axis Expedition Duffle series. To match the new color, corresponding pouches for expanding the backpacks will also be available. There will also be a new OP1 Pouch, which is completely equipped with Velcro inside so that you can showcase your favorite patches on the Spectre.

The hip belt is not removable in the 22-liter version and is supported by a plastic frame. However, the frame can be removed if needed. In the upcoming 34-liter and 46-liter versions, the hip belt will be removable and aluminum will be used instead of a plastic frame. These versions will offer additional options to adjust the backpack optimally to the weight and luggage.
