TACTICAL BEAR - Dead Mole Gun Rest

Precision shooters are certainly familiar with the moldable rifle support cushions. They are also very practical outside of shooting sports, as they provide a good rest on uneven surfaces. We took a detailed look at the Dead Mole rifle supports from TACTICAL BEAR.

The Dead Mole is round, 22 cm long, and between 16 and 8 cm wide. The name obviously comes from its shape, as it simply looks like a flattened mole.

Features include a hanging loop and a fixed sewn strap.

This allows the Dead Mole to be very well attached to the fore-end of the weapon. With the strap, the firmness of the support can also be adjusted by compressing the Dead Mole. A simple yet effective method.

The support cushion is available with two fillings:

• Plastic granulate (recyclate), making the Dead Mole weigh just under 500 g
• Styrofoam balls, as an ultra-light version weighing only 70 g

Individual adjustment of the content and quantity of the pre-filled supports is possible at any time through the Velcro opening. 

Conclusion

The Dead Mole from TACTICAL BEAR is a small, simple, but very functional support, not just for precision shooters. In our case, we used it to rest on a tripod head, which greatly facilitates adjustment. We don't have a clear favorite when it comes to filling, but we tend to prefer the ultra-light version with Styrofoam filling.
