Instructors from diverse backgrounds facilitate hands-on training, fostering networking and exchange.
The TacMed Symposium 2026 is a three-day specialized training course taking place from July 3 to 5, 2026, near Bad Hersfeld, designed to train participants in the interface between police incident command and civilian emergency medicine in a tactical context. Limited to 24 participants—12 police, 12 civilians—with a joint large-scale scenario on the final day.
In every serious situation, police and emergency medical services meet at a critical juncture: the police contain the threat, while emergency medical services treat the injured. This juncture only works if both sides understand the other’s work. The symposium trains precisely this interface—not as a theoretical block, but through two parallel focus groups and a joint large-scale scenario.

Multiple scenarios in which the police manage the situation indoors while civilian emergency responders operate the CCP outside — with the CCP being relocated under pressure (because something has happened), indoor/outdoor transitions, and handover drills. This is the point where the separation between the two groups is dissolved and both worlds work together.
Upon successful completion, you will receive three certificates documenting your training. The symposium’s training hours count toward mandatory continuing education for paramedics (RS) and emergency medical technicians (NotSan). Police officers may be able to deduct the costs from their taxes.
Five instructors with operational experience in precisely the fields that come together here: ten years in police special operations, a medic from a specialized police unit, specialized forces from the German Armed Forces, a paramedic, and a former soldier with medic qualifications. No lecture-style teaching—all trainers are actively involved in the scenario.
Police + Bundeswehr group: active-duty personnel from all units; cadets and soldiers are expressly welcome. Civilian group: medical qualifications at the level of TECC, EEH-B, Medic, RS, Paramedic, or comparable—the group is not intended for medical beginners.
Saturday evening: group barbecue with a networking focus—fostering exchange between the two worlds is a key objective of the symposium. Public viewing of the World Cup Round of 16 matches available; group barbecue on Saturday.
