Germany has separate procurement processes for special forces and regular army. Media hints and reactions suggest that Heckler & Koch has won the special forces contract. The HK416 is a popular choice among international special forces. The KSK has already received the HK416 in the ARMAIII game. Steiner Defense and SIG Sauer have also won contracts.

We are eagerly awaiting the final confirmation of the deal, and we assume that we will not be surprised.
