SPARTANAT x WNDSN: Plant Indicator Telemeter v2.0

The Planzeiger-Telemeter v2.0 is our collaboration with the instrument manufacturer WNDSN from Berlin and SPARTANAT. The perfect tool for navigation, commanders, and snipers.

What have we improved? The numbers and scales have been made more readable, and a point matrix has been added to the protractor on the back. With these points, azimuth and distance can be calculated from the map. It may sound complicated, but with a little practice, it's relatively easy.

The protractor has also been expanded with a decimal-sexagesimal converter. It allows you to quickly convert minutes to decimal values and vice versa. In case you receive coordinates not in decimal format, but in degrees and minutes. Or if you want to know how many minutes are actually 0.6 hours.

The front side includes a 6-dot (NATO-MIL) range calculator. This allows distances to the target to be calculated without much effort, keyword BÜSTE formula. The back has a quadrant for measuring slopes and angles of elevation in both percentage and degrees, with a resolution of 1 degree or 25 dots.

Additionally, there is a plan pointer with a coordinate scale for common map scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 for measuring or transferring right-angled coordinates from or to topographic maps with UTM, MGRS, USNG coordinate systems.

Who needs something like this? Mainly snipers can use this almost indestructible tool to determine distances and angles emissions-free (no lasers) that they need for the perfect shot. Commanders or assistant observers also benefit from this.
