SPARTANAT x WNDSN: Planimeter Rangefinder v2.0

The Planzeiger-Telemeter v2.0 is the new collaboration between the instrument manufacturer WNDSN from Berlin and SPARTANAT. The perfect tool for snipers.

What have we improved? The numbers and scales have been made more readable and a dot matrix has been added on the back in the protractor. With these dots, the azimuth and distance can be calculated from the map. It may sound complicated, but with some practice, it's relatively easy.

The protractor has also been expanded with a decimal-sexagesimal converter. It allows you to convert minutes to decimal values and vice versa in no time. In case you receive coordinates not in decimal notation but in degrees and minutes. Or you want to know how many minutes actually are 0.6 hours.

The front side contains a 6-bar (NATO-MIL) distance calculator, and the back side features a quadrant for measuring inclines and elevation angles in both percent, as well as in degrees and in bars with a resolution of 1 degree or 25 bars.

There is also a planimeter with a coordinate scale for the common map scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 for measuring or transferring rectangular coordinates to or from topographic maps with UTM, MGRS, USNG coordinate systems.

Who needs this? Especially snipers can use this almost indestructible tool to determine distances and angles emission-free (e.g., no lasers) that they need for the perfect shot.
