So funktioniert der Stryker MGS

We found a video that vividly demonstrates the loading mechanism of the Stryker Mobile Gun System (MGS) with its 105mm cannon. We certainly don't want to withhold it from you: HERE is the video on Youtube.

It's worth watching, especially because it won't be possible to do it in the original for much longer: the "gun wagons" are supposed to be phased out of the US Army service by 2022. Active soldiers are unhappy with the automatic loading system, which often malfunctions. Additionally, the stress on the vehicle from the weapon turret seems to be taking a toll: flat tires and frequent towing do not increase the joy of the MGS crews with the vehicle. It's a shame really, as it otherwise seems very innovative and looks spectacularly exciting.
