SIMGUN in sniper training

The professional duel simulator from SIMGUN proves itself during training. During a course by Project Gecko and SG Defense GmbH on the topic of sniper activities "Observation and Concealment," SIMGUN systems from the company SG Defense GmbH were used. After initial theory sessions, the participants' rifles were equipped with the SIMGUN system - Laserbox on the rifle and sensors on the targets. The lasers were then adjusted and zeroed on the optic sights of the weapons.

The SIMGUN system fills a training gap here, as it enables simulating a gunshot that is simultaneously evaluable through the system and visually confirmed when the LED blinkers light up on the target.

During the course, the theoretically learned material was immediately put into practice in training sessions that included a scenario-oriented approach: The assumed situation was a support request from a federal organization to shadow an illegal arms dealer. The participants' task was to position themselves in the immediate area of the meeting point, determine the shooting distances, and adjust the weapon optics accordingly. Based on the mission, they were to observe the fictional officers and, if necessary, protect them with the use of firearms. This challenged the participants significantly, as the exercise began at dusk and continued into the early morning hours.

The SIMGUN system proved its strength here. Fictional shots were fired multiple times on human targets, and the course participants received appropriate feedback.
