Who doesn't know it, either the brightness of the reticle is too bright or, two minutes later, it is too dark again. Sightmark has come up with something and has developed the Volta Solar Reflex Sight. The Volta features the groundbreaking Eclipse Light Management System (ELMS): it automatically adjusts the brightness of the reticle to the ambient light.
The best of both worlds, the new Sightmark Volta Solar Reflex Sight combines solar and battery power into a true dual power system with uninterrupted operation. The red dot is powered by solar cells directly on the optics housing and 2x AAA batteries, giving the user the choice of which power source is best for their situation. Once the AAA batteries, which power the Volta for 40,000 hours, are empty, the device automatically switches to solar power. In fact, the Volta can be operated solely on solar power, without batteries - infinite use, thanks to solar power.
A 2-MOA red dot reticle with ½ MOA adjustments make the Volta ideal for a variety of shooting scenarios and distances. The Volta features a sealed design for additional protection and offers even more durability through a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective lens coating.
The red dot of the Volta can be adjusted both in side-to-side and up-and-down directions. An adjustable mounting height, unlimited eye relief, digital brightness controls, an operating temperature range of -22 to 122 °F, and a shockproof design complete the package. The Volta comes standard with a rubber cover. It includes both an absolute co-witness and low Picatinny mount. Sightmark offers a 10-year warranty for the Volta. The price of the Volta is expected to be 424.99 euros.
