SIG SAUER are not only involved in the Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) Program, which aims to procure the next light machine gun and new assault rifle for the US Army in 6.8mm caliber with completely new ammunition. They have announced today that the MCX Spear rifle, very similar to the Army's in the 277 SIG FURY caliber, will be freely available on the market – of course only in the USA. A bargain for weapon technology enthusiasts and collectors.
