SHOT SHOW 24: The REAPR machine gun

OHIO ORDINANCE WORKS unveiled the Recoil Enhanced Automatic Precision Rifle (REAPR) at the SHOT Show 2024 – they see it as "a revolution in modern military General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG)."

Designed to exceed military SOCOM specifications and provide a unique combination of precision, reliability, durability, and ease of maintenance. REAPR features: lightweight, highly portable combat field suppression system in .338 Norma Magnum with 7.62 NATO conversion kit, simple and robust construction, tool-less on-site disassembly, and one-handed barrel change.

A system that can be disassembled into three main components in less than ten seconds and is small enough to fit in an operator's backpack!

Developed from the ground up by the engineering team at OHIO ORDINANCE WORKS, the REAPR can now be ordered in test quantities. The weapon's serial production will begin in April 2024.

REAPR Features

Thanks to the folding buttstock and detachable barrel, the .338 with belt feed fits into the user's daypack, making it easy to transport for use in urban, mountain, and aerial environments.

The patented sliding magazine cover and holder allows for the use of optics with higher magnification that can extend beyond the 25.4 cm (10 inch) MIL-STD-1913 rail, eliminating the need to mount optical devices on the magazine cover, increasing the precision and reliability of the optical zero setting.

Quick-change barrels can be inserted and removed without the need for a latch, lever, or button, increasing the simplicity, reliability, and ease of barrel change. Quick conversion to 7.62 NATO ammunition for live/training/exercise ammunition. One-piece steel construction with integrated rail for increased precision, reliability, and durability. Selective trigger for controlled and precise shooting in full or semi-automatic modes. Tool-less construction for easy disassembly/reassembly.
