SHOT Show 2022: News from CRYE

The biggest novelty is the SMOC from CRYE PRECISION. That is a Smock with the catchy abbreviation "Special Missions Operations Coat". It is made of durable, water-resistant ripstop nylon and is fully lined. To avoid overheating, the chest pockets and the forearms are made of mesh fabric, as SOLDIER SYSTEMS DAILY tells us:

The SMOC has thumb loops on the sleeves, an elastic crotch strap, and an adjustable drawstring waistband. The buttons are square and easy to operate even with gloves. They can also be replaced without sewing, very clever.

The roll-up, helmet-compatible hood can be stored at the collar and has a two-way adjustable drawstring. It is designed to be combined with the Compact Assault Ghillie and provides space in the elbow pad pocket for the Airflex Field Kneepad. The fit is oversized, allowing the SMOC to be worn over a uniform or baselayer top and an LWF 2.0 or Mid Loft Jacket in cooler temperatures. We are very excited.

Zip-On Panel Adapter

One of those things where you wonder: "Why only now?" A zipper adapter for MOLLE/PALS, so that the Crye back panels fit on any plate carrier. Such adapters have been available from other manufacturers, but better late than never.

EXP Venture Pack

The EXP VENTURE PACK features a large opening at the top with an integrated garment bag that facilitates packing and protects suits or uniforms. The internal separate shoe compartment provides space to keep shoes or dirty clothes away from the inside of the bag. Stowable, reinforced backpack straps and an extremely durable 1000D exterior complete the concept.
