SHOT SHOW 19: Empty Shell(s) - Thousands!

Empty Shell from Texas has developed the XM556 Microgun, possibly the smallest minigun in the world, showcased at this year's SHOT SHOW. Weighing under 10kg, it is portable and smaller than a standard M4. Exciting to see when it goes into production for battlefield use. Visit www.emptyshell.us for more information.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRT, is a very distinctive, unique sound that only miniguns produce. These are known to be big and heavy. At least until now. A company from Texas with the resonant name "Empty Shell" is working on what is probably the smallest minigun in the world and presented their further developed prototype at this year's SHOT SHOW.

The XM556 Microgun, as they call it, weighs just under 10kg (without battery and ammunition of course), so it is a portable weight. In terms of size, it is smaller than a standard M4. We are excited to see when this prototype will go into production and be used for the first time on the battlefield. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRT, say the big brothers.
