SHOT 23: New switches from UNITY

UNITY TACTICAL makes innovative optic mounts and cable switches for light and laser. They have recently released two new switches: AXON and AXON SL.

AXON allows for triggering light and laser via individual buttons. With a 45-degree angled button and a flat button, the design provides tactile differentiation between the two buttons to avoid confusion in dark, cold, and stressful situations. Measuring just 2.70 inches (approx. 7 cm) in length, AXON has the smallest footprint of any dual-button switch available on the market.

The (angled) light button of AXON features a switch that allows for both momentary and constant activation, while the laser button features only a momentary button that supports the laser's double-click function for activation. In the AXON standard models, the devices are triggered independently by each button. SYNC models fire the laser independently, while the light button activates light and laser simultaneously.

AXON SL is the even smaller single-button switch in the AXON family. Like the light button of AXON, its 45-degree angled button surface provides an ergonomically correct activation angle, making it easy to operate even under stress, while wearing PPE, or in extreme environmental conditions.

The switch design allows for activation in both momentary and constant light modes, in a familiar click-tailcap design. For the laser versions, the switch is intended only for momentary operation, to facilitate use with the double-click function for constant operation found on most commercially available lasers. The dual-cable variants are SYNC switches that fire both light and laser simultaneously.
