LINDNERHOF-TACTICS has released a video today offering a detailed insight into the development of equipment setups for snipers and reconnaissance units over the past two decades.
Hosted by former special forces operatives Jakob Kolbeck – now CEO of Lindnerhof – and Björn Herbert (Technical Sales Manager International), the video showcases the transformation of these equipment setups from traditional smock outfits to highly modern configurations for the latest operational requirements.
Throughout the video, Kolbeck and Herbert draw on their own operational experiences to emphasize the importance of users choosing dynamic equipment setups that match the mission requirements and likely threat levels during these operations.
“There has been a shift in the perception of what one should wear and especially how to wear it,” Kolbeck says. “It is no longer practical for snipers to stuff everything they need into their jackets. Today, it is common for the equipment to be fully modular.” Modular design allows for streamlined equipment, offering operatives greater versatility and mobility, Herbert adds.
The video presents equipment configurations for Micro Rig and Chest Rig systems that provide an optimal balance between protection and mobility for both light and heavy setups. “Both Chest Rigs presented support increased firepower and adaptability by allowing operatives to add various pouches, for example,” says Herbert. “We demonstrate their effectiveness in practice through shooting drills at the range.”
Filled with lighthearted moments, this informative video “provides a unique insight into the thought process behind the development of gear that meets the requirements of modern snipers and reconnaissance operations,” promised Kolbeck.
