SEALs in AOR1 and AOR2

06/01/2012By Redaktion

"Members of 8th Commando Kandak and coalition special forces discuss troop movements during a firefight in the Nawa Garay village, Kajran District, Daykundi Province, Afghanistan" is the original caption. On the right is a SEAL with SCAR-H and very classic AOR1 equipment. On the left is the man who is probably the translator, facilitating communication between the SEALs and Afghan commandos. Interestingly, he is not wearing their Woodland gear, but is equipped like a SEAL, just in AOR2. Perhaps so that the translator can be easily identified. He is carrying an AK and has a LBT-2595G as a 3-Day-Pack on his back.
