The SCHUBERTH GmbH from Magdeburg has won a tender for ballistic protective helmets from the Romanian Ministry of Defence. The delivery to a special forces unit will be carried out through the distributor Rotman Industries SRL later this year.

Milad Youkhanna, Head of Military & Law Enforcement at SCHUBERTH, explains: "We are extremely proud to count the special forces of the Romanian Ministry of Defence among our customers. The ballistic protective helmet SCHUBERTH M100 has emerged as the winner in a tender against an international field of bidders. In addition to its innovative features and ballistic protection performance, our product's high performance in maritime environments and its extremely low signature and resulting low detectability by night vision equipment were of particular importance to the Romanian customer. The numerous design and development loops, which have been repeatedly tested by members of various European units, now demonstrate their value."

BALLISTIC HEAD PROTECTION SYSTEM M100

The SCHUBERTH M100 is a modern combat helmet with above-average wearing comfort and high ballistic protection. With its rail system with an open architecture and adjustable interior, it offers excellent performance in all threat situations.

The modern helmet shell technology offers a balanced mixture of high-quality protection and a material composition that is not only durable and resistant, but also allows for the complete repair of the helmet. The M100 combines ballistic protection according to NIJ IIIA and VPAM 2 (5 cm rim shot) with sophisticated impact attenuation according to climbing helmet standard EN 12492, whitewater helmet standard EN 1385, and occupational safety standard EN 397. Available as High, Mid, or Fullcut, the M100 is characterized by its manufacturer-independent compatibility with hearing protection and communication solutions.

The Device Connection Interface System (DCIS) of the SCHUBERTH M100 includes not only the pair of side rails and a night vision mount, but also a rear rail. This open system architecture allows for the development of capabilities that already require compatibility with future peripheral devices. However, a completely new dimension of integration and management of peripheral devices is made possible by the specially developed SCHUBERTH Extended Connection Devices (ECD). These distributed connections across all interfaces not only allow for an unprecedented level of advanced cable management, but also the integration of additional accessories such as lamps, covers, or artificial camouflage elements. More information about the M100 helmet system from SCHUBERTH directly from the manufacturer.
