Whoever sends expensive ammunition wants it to arrive at its intended destination. Hensoldt is setting new standards in this regard: The Fire Control Sight (FLV) was developed for versatile use on shoulder-fired small arms with different types of ammunition and multifunctional warheads. In just a few seconds, the FLV can be connected to the weapon system and operated by just one person using the menu-guided interface; no additional support is needed.
The targeting device allows the shooter to target stationary and moving targets up to a range of 1,200 meters with a very high first-shot hit probability. The shooter can determine the distance to the target and select the firing mode, allowing even concealed targets to be effectively engaged. The integrated ballistic computer calculates the elevation and lead angles, automatically displaying the electronic aiming mark via the micro-display.Through the electronic interface to the ORDINANCE - here the article on the newly introduced WM90 at the KSK - the type of ammunition and corresponding operating mode can be automatically detected by the FLV when attached to the weapon system. Even if the electronics fail, the FLV can still be used for aiming and firing at shorter distances. This is done using the emergency aiming with an etched reticle. More information about the Hensoldt Fire Control Sight.
The Fire Control Sight is already prepared for use with guided missile systems at a distance of up to 2,000 meters, following the "fire and forget" principle. Its features and advantages:
• Day sight optics
• Optional night vision attachment (clip-on)
• Electronic sensors for environmental data capture
• Gyro sensor
• Laser range finder
• Ballistic computer for calculating elevation and lead angles
• Micro-display with electronic aiming mark
