The British Ministry of Defence (MOD) has awarded Ravenswood Solutions a five-year contract to provide Tactical Engagement Simulation in Kenya (TESIK) for the British Army.
In collaboration with the Switzerland-based provider of Laser Engagement Systems RUAG, global logistics provider Agility, and British engineering and technology services company QinetiQ, Ravenswood will support the training of British troops in Kenya and other locations with instrumentation, weapon simulators, battlefield effects, and Instrumented After Action Reviews (I-AARs). The laser-based live simulation system from RUAG - known as Gladiator - will be linked with Ravenswood's instrumentation system (known as the Mobile Ground Truth System) to generate highly accurate exercise data, track troops and vehicles across a large, remote training area, and create I-AARs to enhance training.
TESIK is Ravenswood's first major contract with the British Ministry of Defence for turn-key exercise support and instrumentation services. "The Ravenswood team is excited to build a strong, trusting partnership with our new customer, the British Ministry of Defence," said Dan Donoghue, CEO of Ravenswood. "We have tailored our industry-leading capabilities to the training needs of the British Army, and we are honored that they have placed their trust in us. We look forward to supporting the Ministry of Defence in achieving its objectives." HERE is more information about Gladiator.
