This undated photo - released by the U.S. Navy - shows Special Warfare Operator Chief Petty Officer, Brian R. Bill, 31, from Stamford, Conn. He was killed in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2011 in Afghanistan along with other SEALs. Bill is believed to have been part of DEVGRU's Golden Squadron. Of particular interest in this image is the HK416 that Bill is carrying. DEVGRU, unlike other teams, uses the modified M4 by Heckler & Koch. Additionally, DEVGRU does not use the EOTech 553 or Specter DR - the SOPMOD Block 2 optics seem to be frowned upon. It appears that the combination of the "old" EOTech 551 and EOTech Magnifier better serves their needs.
