Rheinmetall delivers tank ammunition

Rheinmetall has been commissioned to deliver tank ammunition to a European customer. The order value is over 200 million EUR net. The ammunition is to be delivered in the years 2023 and 2025. This is another significant order following the major order for infantry fighting vehicle ammunition reported in April, which arises from the current demand in the field of ammunition.

Rheinmetall is the only source that can offer newly manufactured ammunition in calibers ranging from 20mm to 35mm (e.g. for Marder, Gepard, Puma, other medium-caliber cannons and anti-aircraft guns), 105mm (Leopard 1), 120mm (Leopard 2) and 155mm (artillery) from a single source. In addition, the company has the capacity to provide large quantities at short notice.

The Düsseldorf-based technology group is one of the leading manufacturers of weapons and ammunition systems worldwide. The range extends from medium-caliber ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles and anti-aircraft guns to tank and artillery ammunition, as well as aircraft armaments and high-energy laser applications. Currently, Rheinmetall is also building a new production facility for medium-caliber ammunition at the Unterlüß site, in order to meet current demand in the field of anti-aircraft defense from summer 2023 onwards.
