Classics are classics, and the best way to buy them is original. Clones are frowned upon because they are of poor quality and from China and so on. Yes, this piece here also comes from a Chinese factory, but it is sold by the US-based brand ZShot. Isn't that a bit cheeky - in the homeland of Crye Precision? No it's not ...
The magic lies in this: the clones from ZShot are licensed by Crye Precision "himself." Just like a genuine Crye equipment piece has a tag with the US company's name, the Shot has tags that say "Crye licensed." HERE is the SPARTANAT review of the original CP JPC 2.0.
The rest: just like a genuine JPC 2.0 from Crye. The whole, small plate carrier upgraded to the 2.0 system to fit in with the system featuring pockets and zip-on backpacks in Crye design. By the way, these are also available as replicas from ZShot.
On the shoulder strap, you can see Crye's drop system. Very simple: pull it and the Velcroed shoulder comes off.
Another "Crye licensed" tag tells us that this thing is somehow genuine. With the clip, a magazine loader can be attached - for example, a Micro Rig, as seen in the first image.
The quick release system on the abdomen is surprisingly simple.
The grips of the long loops protrude, and with two hand movements, the cumberbund can be pulled out and released.
With the ZShot 2.0 plate carrier comes a regular modular MOLLE flap.
It is normally looped and Velcroed.
This is how the ZShot JPC 2.0 looks in a regular setting.
The shoulder piece from the back. Let's switch to the back.
Above the JPC 2.0, there is an emergency handle.
Beneath, there is MOLLE with Velcro. Everything is just like the real thing.
On the side are the zippers for the zip-on backpacks, which are very practical. Here, licensing has consequences: the Crye and the ZShot Zip systems are not identical. Genuine and replica backpacks are not interchangeable. Crye surely doesn't want someone using a cheap replica instead of a genuine backpack.
