REVIEW: ZENTAURON Quick-draw pouches LaserCut

Faster, lighter, lasercut, these are the characteristics of the new quick-draw pouches from ZENTAURON. The quality manufacturer from northern Germany is enhancing its range with five new models. We took a look at them for you.

Here are all the new quick-draw pouches LC together. From left to right: Quick-draw pouch M4 LC in Stone Grey, G36 LC in Flecktarn, MP5/MP7 LC in classic black and Pistol LC in Tropentarn. Above them, you see the Quick-draw pouch G28 LC, in Flecktarn design. The pouches do what they are supposed to do: they hold the magazines well and allow for easy drawing and reinsertion. For those wondering why there is an M4 magazine in the G36 quick-draw pouch, we do not currently have a G36 magazine available.

But rest assured, G36 magazines fit perfectly inside it. G36 magazines also fit wonderfully in the M4 LC quick-draw pouch and the G28 LC pouch gladly accepts G3 and other 7.62 x 51 mm magazines.

An additional strap for security is not necessary, the magazines are held in place. Precisely because the securing strap is not needed, the shooter draws faster.

On the back, the quick-draw pouches are equipped with Faststicks. This allows you to attach them to belts or vests as you like.

Inside, ZENTAURON lines its pouches with tarpaulin. This material provides the right level of friction resistance. Also, the pouches have few points inside where magazines could get caught.

All AUG and AK magazine users know from painful experience what we are talking about. We tested all common magazines with the LaserCut pouches and had no significant issues with drawing.The stability of the quick-draw pouches LC is maintained by a U-shaped piece of Kydex. Additionally, the round rubber bands allow you to adjust the desired drawing resistance to your liking.

You are already familiar with Faststicks from other pouches from ZENTAURON. A solid, functional solution for attachment. Easy to loop through, sits securely.

Thanks to the laser cutter, all elements of the quick-draw pouches are precisely cut out of Cordura.

CONCLUSION: The quick-draw pouches from ZENTAURON do what their name suggests. You can quickly draw your magazines with them and also quickly reinsert them. Thanks to the lasercut and slim construction, they also offer a slight weight saving.
