Fighting with injured hands is difficult, so you need to protect them beforehand to prevent anything from happening. We therefore took a closer look at the Firestorm Hard Knuckle Gloves from Warrior Assault Systems (WAS).
These gloves are essentially the larger and more robust brother of the Enforcer Gloves from WAS. The fingers and back of the hand are partially covered with leather, while the rest of the glove is made of fire-resistant Nomex. The palm is also reinforced with a type of leather that is not as smooth as the main leather.
The fit is very good, and the grip is also present. The fingers and knuckles are additionally protected by padding. The glove closes well above the wrist and can be securely fastened with a leather strap. The word "Warrior" is prominently embossed in the leather at this point. A second strap sits below it to ensure a tight fit on the palm.
The hard knuckles serve their purpose very well, protecting the knuckles that can easily get hurt when bumping into things. The only drawback to this design is that sometimes the wearer gets caught on tight pockets when reaching in. An old problem: protection or mobility.
CONCLUSION: A solid, well-padded glove that protects the hands well. Extremely good value for money for a leather glove.
You can find the Warrior Assault Systems Firestorm Hard Knuckle Gloves at Recon Company in Coyote and OD for 39.90 Euros.
