REVIEW: VIKTOS Operatus XP Jeans

08/07/2021By Redaktion

Being mobile is one of the essential challenges in tactical everyday life. And being inconspicuous. The Operatus XP Jeans by VIKTOS offers both. In Germany, it is available at S4 SUPPLIES.

EDC stands for Every Day Carry. And this is the pant. Unlike socially conspicuous tactical pants in camouflage patterns, here you have a pleasing denim jeans that can be worn every day and also in operations. It looks good on the street as well as on the range.

This is how VIKTOS presents the functionality of the pants.

Let's start at the top. There are actually only two ways to efficiently close your pants: the Operatus XP is available with a zipper or with a button placket. We have the latter here and generally prefer the male buttons. Anyone can zip...

The core of the Operatus XP is the pocket layout. Everything is within reach of the hands, and that's what makes this tactical VIKTOS jeans so practical. We have it here in Blue Denim. There are also Dark Blue Wash and brown Canteen/Fieldcraft.

The pockets are as large as Russia, even though they come from the USA. The flexible denim material suits the deep pockets very well.

In front of the pocket is a large special compartment that accommodates PMAGs up to the brim in size. On the hip, you can fit pistol magazines, knives, or tools. You can also discreetly store two pistol magazines in the front.

Bottom of the pants: a discreet finish. Classic jeans look.

Side view: the Operatus XP is not tightly cut, but has enough room especially on the thighs to ensure sufficient mobility even when loaded.

Let's pull down the pants for you: The Operatus is stylishly labeled on the inseam.

And the fabric shows the snake that you should not step on in the USA. All very stylishly implemented, that's what we like about VIKTOS.

Seven belt loops also hold wide belts. The rearmost one is adorned with the VIKTOS logo.

Two back pockets sit behind, as befits an EDC jeans.

The gusset is nothing indecent, but it guarantees you mobility and durability in pants designed for adversity.

These are not rigor, but even if you simply wear them in everyday life, the Operatus XP cuts a fine figure.

The Slav squat is always a good test to see if something is as flexible as it promises. With the Operatus XP, only your own muscle shortening is the limitation you have to live with (Tactical tip: regular stretching).

Whether you hang a holster, carry magazines, or tools for the next repair, whether you wear them in everyday life or on the range during training: bending down for the next beer works with the VIKTOS Operatus XP every time.

CONCLUSION: A tactical jean, not for posers: the VIKTOS Operatus XP is beautiful, inconspicuous, durable, super comfortable to wear. Accompanies you in everyday life. It is comfortable and masculine. A jeans as it should be. Every Day Carry recommendation!

The VIKTOS Operatus XP Jeans is available in Germany at S4 SUPPLIES for 119 euros.
