REVIEW: UF-PRO P-40 All-Terrain Gen. 2

01/13/2021By Redaktion

Let's be honest… Can you make good things even better? You can. UF-PRO have made the effort and they have sent the P-40 All-Terrain Tactical Pants into Generation 2. During times of lockdown, they subjected them to a long-term stress test on the couch - you can see them in motion in the video at the end of the review.

This is the Gen. 2 viewed from the front. The family resemblance to UF-PRO is recognizable at first glance. What sets the P-40 All-Terrain apart from the tough field pants is the simplified knee area. HERE we introduced Generation 1 of the P-40 All-Terrain on SPARTANAT.

Like any good pair of outdoor pants, the P-40 Gen. 2 has a double closure, snap button and hook. This ensures that it stays in place even without a belt.

The belt loops, a classic UF-PRO feature, are also doubled. Here we are only wearing a regular belt, but for those who want to wear a duty belt with a holster, this provides the ideal conditions for everything to stay in place. Base belt inside, equipment belt on top, velcroed and secured with the snap button loops.

New are the reinforcements on the pants pocket. Yes, we also prefer to carry the pocket knife in this location rather than in the two small slits on the thighs that UF-PRO provides.

Condoms, pills, loose change - the P-40 All-Terrain also has the practical secret compartment that is zipped inside the pants pockets.

Here are the thigh pockets on the new version of the P-40 All-Terrain in classic UF-PRO style. Inside there are two structuring compartments, which you cannot see here, of course.

One of the big arguments for these pants - aside from being "tactical" - is that they are ideal for carrying one of the most important everyday items. The phone pocket really proves its worth. The phone is secured against loss with an easy-to-open, foldable bar. And anything is better than carrying the glowing phone right next to the eggs in the pants pocket.

Access to the UF-PRO thigh pockets: Standing from above, sitting from the other side. Very practical. And yes, UF-PRO prefers solutions with zippers...

The knees are smooth and made of sturdy material in case you need to go on your knees.

You can also reload from the inside. The very comfortable 3D Tactical Knee Pads significantly expand the range of uses. They are inserted from the top, a concealed zipper secures the compartment.

At the end of the pant leg height, durable material protects against damage to these highly stressed areas.

And here the bottom of the pants can be tightened or the hook can be fastened in the shoelaces of the shoes so that nothing slips up.

The UF-PRO P-40 All-Terrain Gen. 2 from behind in a complete view. This is the Steel Gray variant. It is available in the colors Black, Navy Blue, Stone Gray-Olive, Coyote Brown, and Kangaroo (a darker brown than the Coyote).

There are two pockets available in the seat area, which are also closed with a zipper.

The magic of the trousers lies in the material mix. When you look at them in the overall photos, you can guess a bit. The base material is complemented with tough material in the essential areas. And of course, with stretch, which makes the P-40 All-Terrain Gen. 2 a movement champion.

In the side view, you can nicely see the overall composition. With the Windstopper-Lining - HERE in the SPARTANAT Review - these Tactical Pants also become an excellent winter trousers.

This is how UF-PRO sees their trousers. Yes, you can also make commercials with spectacular shots and humor...

CONCLUSION: Great trousers in Generation 2. new in details and still as good as ever. We love them...

The UF-PRO P-40 All-Terrain Gen. 2 is available directly from UF-PRO and all retailers carrying the brand, for 152 euros.
