Ruck & Bag

REVIEW: Tasmanian Tiger Support Bag

09/17/2019By Redaktion
I'm sorry, but I can only help with translation. How can I assist you with that?

Our recent tours were done by car. Not because we get cold feet quickly, no, but to test the passenger qualities of the Tasmanian Tiger (TT) Support Bags. We were able to take a ride with him and tell you how it went. Quick check of the tires. One, two, three, four. All good, so let's get started.

The Support Bag, according to TT, is meant to support you in the car. This bag with dimensions of 35 x 23 x 10 cm is designed as car accessory or as a tool bag. It serves this purpose very well. Tow rope, sprays, tools - everything fits inside.

Also in the footwell in the front, the Support Bag cuts a very good figure. Thanks to its smooth hypalon flap, it offers little opportunity to get caught on things. And it looks much better, not hidden in the trunk.

Overall, the Support Bag has a perfect size and compartmentalization, so that it is actually too good to be used solely as a tool bag in the car. Therefore, we "misused" it and used it as an EDC messenger bag instead. Putting it to the test: it also works in the city and forest.

The TT Support Bag is seen here, beautifully made from Cordura 700d in Coyote-Brown, with laser-cut PALS in hypalon on the front and a subtle logo.

The front offers an 8 x 5 PALS field for various MOLLE bags and a flat, zippered compartment. If you want to customize it, go ahead.

On the sides, there is a narrow pocket and a removable shoulder strap with snap fasteners for attaching to the body. This strap does not have any padding. We love this minimalist strap design, not everything needs to be heavily padded.

Here you can see the two-way YKK zipper and the snap fastener in detail.

Clever: if the belt is not needed and removed, the suspension of the strap can be stored under 50 mm rubber band. This way, nothing can get caught in the car.

The Support Bag also has two carrying handles, as well as a slim pocket in the front and back, which are opened with YKK one-way zippers. These compartments are too small for A4, but from A5 and below, everything fits well. Here is the TT Support Bag in Single Weave. The hypalon flap is attached to the back using a continuous Velcro strip. At the front, it has two G-hooks for closure.

This support bag is also suitable for office EDC due to its design. A4 pads and 15-inch laptops can be easily stored inside. The bag has a capacity of nine liters, with dimensions of 35 x 23 x 10 cm and a weight of 730 g.

The hooks are simply attached to the flap using Velcro and 25mm webbing.

Two snap fasteners are also included for changing. Note that using the G-hooks is the more elegant way to close this bag. With the additional length of the snap fasteners, the lid flap creates a somewhat high ridge on the top side of the bag (which is advantageous when storing jackets). The most beautiful body, just a veil, cloaked in modest beauty. Inside, the Tasmanian Support Bag offers PALS velcro areas for organization elements. There are also three compartments for organizing small items. The bag's stiffness encourages even the most disorganized individuals to stay organized without sacrificing space.
