REVIEW: Toy Soldier M34 "Willy Peter"

The M34 White Phosphorus Grenade, is a smoke/fire grenade that has been used by the American armed forces since around 1942. Toy Soldier has now released a dummy version of this grenade on the market.

The whole grenade weighs only 110g. The body is made of plastic but the entire ignition mechanism is made of metal and makes up the majority of the mass, just like in the original. The dummy is very well crafted and a special treat are the two safety rings: one is replicated and the other is original!

The color scheme corresponds to the "newer" NATO scheme, the previous M34 WP grenades were gray with a yellow stripe and black lettering.

CONCLUSION: A Vietnam Reenactor will hardly be able to do without this dummy, for everyone else a nice decorative piece, although not very contemporary.
