When the wind blows, the switch is quickly turned from "pleasant" to "ass". So it's worth having a windshirt in your gear that protects the body. At Toy Soldier, you can find the WindLiner in AOR2, the green camouflage pattern of the Navy SEALs. We took a look at it for you.
The WindLiner from the front and in the main picture at the back: it is not cut "Asian size", we still took one size larger, because the thin skin with a fleece sweater underneath is a good and suitable equipment for when it gets cold.
The shirt itself is made of thin, feather-light material, can be folded small and fits perfectly into the pouch of a vest. It doesn't add any weight. So it's worth always having it with you, just in case.
This windshirt not only has a collar finely lined with fleece.
It also has a hood that fits nicely over the head and is not too tight. The cut is black, when you wear it over your head, the tip of your nose sticks out, if it's not pixelated.
There are two Velcro strips on each sleeve, left and right.
There is also an upper arm pocket on the right side.
The sleeves are long enough to pull over your hands, there is also a practical thumb hole, which is somewhat "Asian size". But it doesn't really bother. We prefer to wear it "normal":
CONCLUSION: The TS WindLiner is a small and fine piece of equipment that is professionally made. A windshirt for use, in exclusive AOR2. And no, it is not waterproof. A WindLiner, as the name suggests, is not a rain cover. By the way: that would be the original from Crye Precision, which is not available in AOR2.
The Toy Soldier WindLiner AOR2 costs 139.90 dollars (excluding shipping).
