REVIEW: Toy Soldier IR glow sticks dummies

01/02/2012By Redaktion

What shines but you can't see it? At least most of us can't see it without proper night vision goggles? - Right, infrared (IR) chemlights are part of modern tactical gear, but are hard to come by or expensive for collectors. Toy Soldier delights us with an affordable solution: IR Chemlights Dummies.

This is how they look: like the real ones, they are molded from purple plastic, but these ones are empty inside and it's not worth bending them. (Of course, you can do it, but then you see - like with the real ones - nothing.)

CONCLUSION: An extremely practical dummy that stylishly replaces expensive IR chemlights. The surface is a bit shiny, but if you lightly sand it with very fine sandpaper, it's all good.

You can get the Dummy IR Light Sticks at Toy Soldier for $7.50.

For comparison: the real IR Cyalume with packaging.
