REVIEW: TMC Super Flowing Helmet Light Version

01/08/2021By Redaktion

There are things that don't exist. This helmet, for example. At first glance, you'd say: Ops-Core Super High Cut SF – but due to the holes, it's the Carbon version. The MilSim faction wants to have the latest gear cheaply, the same ones real ones pay a lot of money for. But no, there's something different. What it is, we'll reveal to you below.

This set is available as TMC Super Flowing Helmet Light Version with the mouthguard/mandible at WEAPON762. We also included the integrated protective goggles and the step-in visor.

And before any questions arise, of course the correct Velcro set is included. But we think the Multicam Black looks so nice on this helmet that we didn't use it.

This is how it would look with the Velcro attached. By the way, the helmet is available in all popular camos and colors... Full service by TMC.

You wanted to know what's different? This is different. From the modern High Cut SF, only the ballistic and carbon versions exist. Why make it cheaper, it's for the authorities. TMC has basically complemented the series themselves with a BUMP helmet with a plastic shell. So the openings remind of the first BUMP helmets from Ops-Core. Someone was thinking while cloning... For those who want to compare: HERE we have the Ops-Core SF High Cut Carbon in the review.

Otherwise, it's a Super High Cut, meaning even higher than the Maritime, cut out and designed as an integrated complete system with mouthguard, goggles, and active hearing protection mounted on the sloping arm of the rail.

It fits well because it naturally has a steeper angle than the previous models. By the way, notice the subtle logo in the folding angles. That's what clone warriors want...

At the front, of course, the latest generation Shroud.

The bungees are nicely secured on the shroud. The mount for the night vision arm is standardized, as with all US shrouds.

And the logo is also there, well of course…

The chin straps are excellently processed…

…and also have markings. The closure is crisp and firm.

We wanted Multicam Black. It's Multicam Black. Looking from behind, you can also see that the rails are mounted on a "spacer," so they do not sit directly on the helmet.

The good piece from behind. The adjustment with the dial is like the original. And it works great.

The interior is really elaborately made.

Very soft, comfortable pads are attached here. By the way, not directly into the helmet, but into a second shell made of foam (the manufacturer calls it 3D-Foam).

And then the foam sits on the shell, hole by hole, to allow for ventilation. And the head is well protected.

The inner adjustment does not have a pad, but a plate with pads that is velcroed into the adjustment at the back. We think this is great because it gives the helmet a great fit.

If you want to look closely: everything is clean and well made.

Also on the forehead, the pleasantly soft mesh.

Here you can see the layer structure: foam from the inner shell, then the BUMP shell made of plastic, spacer, and the rail. The opening is for attaching the mouth guard.

The mouth guard is included in the set. HERE you can see the original.

The TMC mandible from the inside.

The cover of the opening hooks in at the top and is fastened at the bottom with a screw.

You can easily rotate it away when you want to drink or smoke a cigarette.

This is what the whole mandible looks like. On the side, you can see that it can be adjusted in length by sliding. Convenient for different head sizes.

This is how the mouth guard hooks in: at the opening in the rail and on the rail itself as a holder.

It's probably not as sturdy as the original, but a nice addition as a free mouth guard.

Which complements ideally with the integrated TMC Step-In Visor as protective eyewear.

This eyeglass is placed on the top of the helmet edge and then put on like regular protective glasses.

Except that there are no longer straps that go around the entire head. The holder ...

… is mounted in the foremost position on the helmet rails.

And then you have a complete head protection system that may not be suitable for duty, but certainly suffices for leisure activities.

CONCLUSION: What's so exciting about this helmet are two things. Firstly, it is of course a clone of the latest Ops-Core generation for leisure enthusiasts. The manufacturer didn't just copy the ballistic or carbon alone available from Ops-Core, but added the missing BUMP helmet in the line. Secondly, what extremely surprised us is the quality of this helmet. It is certainly intended as a toy, but it is a BUMP, it protects your head from bumping into things. It does this very well, even though it lacks any certifications. It is a pity that it is only available in M/L sizes. The manufacturer says it goes up to size 60. However, that is a bit exaggerated because then you will really be stuck inside. We would recommend counting down to size 58, then it fits just right. An L/XL size would be great... Otherwise, a great helmet for clone warriors, surprising quality at a great price. Bang for the Buck...

You can get the TMC Super Flowing Helmet Light Version with modular mask at WEAPON762 for 65.99 Euros. The TMC Quick-Step-In Visor costs 19.90.

This is what a complete system looks like with everything the head needs.
