REVIEW: TMC PVS-18 Dummy

The TMC PVS-18 is a dummy version of the AN/PVS-15 with similar features. While waterproof like the original, it lacks detail but can be enhanced with modifications. Available for purchase at J.K.ARMY.

The PVS-18 is the monocular version of the AN/PVS-15 – HERE is TMC's twin review. The main difference from the Army's PVS-14 is that the original is waterproof. Therefore, it is also used by Navy SEALs. TMC has produced a usable dummy version of it.

Top view, the whole thing is a block of black plastic.

The functions are marked, but the dummy is minimalist in detail.

Front view. The dummy has potential, as we have already glued an improved lens in here.

Rear view: through the lens it is night. So, exactly the opposite function of the real device.

Bottom view. Yes, this thing has two mounts, like the real one, so you can hang it on your right or left eye.

CONCLUSION: Minimalist dummy, but can be well pimped with some hobby fun.

You can find the TMC PVS-18 dummy for example at J.K.ARMY for 31.15 Euros.
