REVIEW: TMC One Way Dry Tactical Base Rugby T-Shirt

Is summer coming soon? Is it time for a proper t-shirt again? TMC has a very nice tactical shirt with the One Way Dry Tactical Base Rugby at WEAPON762 that we wanted to take a look at.

The first look doesn't deceive: it's a clone. The original is of course the Rugby Shirt from Velocity Systems - HERE in the SPARTANAT Review.

The American sports origin is also shown on the collar, which is neither round nor V-neck, but looks like on an American sports shirt.

The fabric on the TMC is of course synthetic. That's okay, but the fabric has nothing to do with the original. The real rugby shirt is abrasion-resistant and feels very cool on the skin. This feels a bit like plastic and has a big flaw: it doesn't like velcro. It pulls threads when you brush it against velcro. This problem occurs not only when wearing a plate carrier over it. It also applies if you put this shirt in the wash with another one that has hook-and-loop velcro. Don't do that.

The neck is quite practical, especially when wearing a weapon belt.

The very special velcro that forms the upper arm pocket and velcro area at the same time is functional, but it's also a bit "shiny", it shines a little.

The inside of the pocket is large enough to easily fit a pack of cigarettes.

Even a back can delight. Arms and hands need some proper sun now so they don't stand out so much from the summer shirt.

On the outside, the TMC Rugby is tan, on the inside it has a black color. The very light fabric - you can see through the fingers - dries very quickly when it gets wet.

It is about mid hip length.

CONCLUSION: Overall, a practical and cool shirt, made for summer. The fact that the fabric doesn't like velcro here is a bit of a downer. However, it has a very nice price, looks cool, and calls for summer.
