REVIEW: TIL VALHALL Chest Rig "the BASE" - additional pockets

"Le Big Mac," says the Frenchman - without the "ä" - and the big burger is actually a good object to put the world into relation with it. We have already introduced you to the Micro Rig from TIL VALHALL WARRIOR GEAR (TVWG) twice: "the Base" is the basis of all things, the more complete package is the "BASE bundle". Now there are a few additional pockets as an option. We are expanding our TVWG BASE Bundle into "Le Big Mac" now. Of course, that's just what we call it...

These are the four pockets we're focusing on today: to the left above an additional waist pocket for the rig, the "Hänger"; next to it on the right an admin compartment for the backplate; below, two pockets that can be mounted on the front of the Micro, Candy Bags.

Micro with a waist, so to speak: here the legendary comparison can be seen. On the left the BASE Bundle, expanded in front and back, on the right in comparison to the real Big Mac. It seems to us that this burger is getting smaller and smaller.

The full configuration on the man: now you can already carry a lot because in addition to the rigs, you now also have three additional pockets with you.

The most versatile of these is the waist pocket. TIL VALHALL simply calls it "Hänger" and that describes well what it does in principle: it hangs below the Micro Rig and provides a lot of space.

The interior is very flexible again, because of the Velcro on the right and left. So one can divide or not according to one's own discretion. Bread, gloves, IFAK - there's a lot of room here, about the volume of two 0.5 beer cans. So, quite a lot of storage space.

Not only is there a Velcro area on the outside, but also a flat compartment. That's where IDs and other papers fit in.

The pocket can also be used as a standalone bag, the Velcro surface of the "Hänger" attaches to the bag itself so that it doesn't flap. There are loops on the sides where D-rings and Grimlocks fit.

The installation is very simple: The "Hänger" is Velcroed into the back of the rig.

Here is the whole package in front of us. The hanger is at the ideal height to use the space without being a bother. Still, everyone will eventually have a hanger.

The next two candidates are the adorable Candy Bags - large and small.

What is a pocket on the front is velcro on the back, so you can mount them anywhere there is velcro.

For example, on the front of a chest rig: TIL VALHALL has already thought of something. Even with a half flap, the Candy Bag large can be attached.

Something with such a beautiful name must be used as such. The large Candy Bag can easily fit two rolls of Smarties.

And then you can take them completely concealed and sweeten your service time.

We simply put a pack of condoms in the Candy Bag small. Of course, only because they can make the barrel of the rifle waterproof, as is well known. Also practical are the flexible loops on the Candy Bags, where glowsticks can be easily attached, for example. The full package of romance, so to speak.

What we particularly like about these two bags is their versatility. If you have them, you can also easily clip them into your backpack and use them beyond the rig for everyday use. They basically structure everyday life.

And there was something else: the "Bakplate" is a zip compartment that the shooter can attach to the back of the TIL VALHALL Micro Rig.

The side facing the body is made of comfortable mesh.

TIL VALHALL products are only authentic with the small banner from TIL VALHALL.

We use the TIL VALHALL Bakplate as an admin compartment on the Micro and have a notebook and Tactical Pencil with us.

Assembly instructions: Remove Velcro protection on the rig.

Place Bakplate on "the BASE" and smooth it out. That's it.

As I said, we now have a lot of additional storage space. But the rig is no longer quite micro now. We humorously call it "Le Big Mac" because it has so many layers.

CONCLUSION: Super practical bags, small, functional, top quality. Can be used, but not necessary. However, it always makes sense to own them and use them on the chest rig, in the backpack, or just in everyday life.
