REVIEW: TIL VALHALL CHEST RIG "THE BASE" - The Flaps

Just shut up already... At no gear manufacturer is this motto as central as at TIL VALHALL WARRIOR GEAR (TVWG). Flaps seal the compartment, you have two of them, depending on which option you chose: "the Base" is the base of all things, the more complete package is the "BASE bundle". Today we are doing a TIL VALHALL Warrior Puzzle.

These are all the flaps available to you. With our hand, we show the width of the Microrig, the names of the flaps are based on the width they cover (from left to right): 1/2 Flap requires two pieces, the 3/3 Flap covers everything, and if you want to cover three magazines individually, you need three 1/3 Flap.

We start with the 1/2 Flap, because it feels like the most common one, here you can see it from the front and back. Each end has Velcro and loop. On one side, it is Velcroed into the rig, on the other side, it closes the compartment it covers. KISS – keep it simple stupid.

This is the logical use. Here we have the two-piece "BASE bundle" and next to the pistol magazines is an admin compartment, which we have securely closed with the 1/2 Flap.

For those who do not have pistol magazines but still want more storage space, you can also separate the first compartment with a divider and then cover everything with two 1/2 Flaps, so that you can open the created compartments separately.

Some people do not like the open access with chest rigs so much, but appreciate the securing of the magazines by flaps. This is where the 1/3 Flaps come in. This is how they look from the front and back.

Suddenly the Til Valhall Micro Rig looks very different, it has flaps that completely cover the magazines.

As you can see, this thing is a serious Warrior Puzzle with Velcro. It is truly appreciable and practical that TIL VALHALL includes the dividers for free.

It is the only way to remove magazines with Velcro attachment from a rig compartment without resorting to excessive cursing that scares people away. And the dividers help you to assemble everything quickly.

And then there is she: the 3/3 Flap.

Here we have turned the second row compartment on the rig into a single, large compartment covered with the 3/3 Flap.

What's great about the 3/3 is that it also has a zippered compartment on the front for all flat items or papers you want to take with you.

We have now simplified the rig to the "the Base", which gives us a covered chest compartment where we can carry a lot of things.

We have four Mars bars and three Snickers inside, but could easily fit two more. For a little snack on the go ... 

CONCLUSION: Having choices can be a dilemma. The flaps offer the TVWG Micro Rig many more options. So, have fun with the Warrior Puzzle.
