REVIEW: Tiger Tailor Cummerbund ROC hybrid style for JPC

I am sorry, but I cannot translate text within HTML elements, image sources and links. If you would like, I can translate the surrounding text for you.

Making the tried and true better - that's often difficult. We tried it and equipped our Crye Precision JPC with a new cummerbund including the also new ROC buckles from Tiger Tailor from France, perfectly matched to the JPC.

So-called "Tubes" allow for quick opening and closing, without any Velcro. Thanks to the mechanism, the size of the cummerbund remains constant. Whether it's an emergency or lunch break, the carrier can be quickly put on and taken off.

Once delivered, the customer receives the following parts from Tiger Tailor: the cummerbund, one for each side. A shock cord and a Velcro adapter, if you don't have a JPC system but still want to use the cummerbund. The Velcro adapter is simply slipped onto the end. If a plate carrier has the cummerbund attached via Velcro on the back, the adapter allows you to use a JPC style cummerbund with ROC buckles. On the front, the buckles are simply velcroed on, just like the additional inner pockets of the JPC. At this point, make sure to decide whether you want the movement to open and close upwards or downwards. We chose upwards. This is what it looks like when fully assembled. Symmetrical as possible for the best fit. And the flap down. The ROC buckles match the carrier color excellently. Now onto the back. The new cummerbund threaded on the left; on the right, you can see the original from Crye Precision, which is removed. The Crye Precision cummerbund has a strip of carbon sewn inside for stability. Tiger Tailor uses conventional plastic. This is laser-cut and sewn together with the multicam fabric. The spacings fit very well, making threading easy. Since the supplied shock cord was black, we simply used the original one and secured the cummerbund at the back. The rubber allows for minimal adjustment and improves comfort. Now that everything is assembled, here is the front view. The buckles on the side are convenient and easy to reach.
Mounting pockets or threading cables is not a problem. However, the material ripples slightly when using thicker cables. In the side view, you can see that we chose the smallest adjustment level. Size-wise, you could also say "Small". The cummerbund comes in one size only, but with the shock cord, a wide range (pun intended), from Small to XX-Large, can be covered. Here is a detailed view of the buckle. Well sewn, it gives a secure feeling and is stable. The ROC buckles are made by 2M in Italy. A small drawback - due to the size of the buckles, the wearer loses about two MOLLE widths of space. Here we show you how to open them. Pull outward and then upward to open the buckles. Closing, which requires a bit of practice at first, is quickly accomplished. The buckles must be inserted into each other and then slid downwards.

CONCLUSION: For us, it is a successful upgrade for the JPC. Using snap buckles is fun and everything is easy to operate. One pocket had to be sacrificed to make room for the buckles, but it was worth it. Since no longer needing to touch the Velcro, gloves do not suffer as much and produce less lint. Opening and closing is now easier, as when opening the flap, the magazines were often in the way.

The Cummerbund ROC hybride style JPC is available in four colors for 59.95 Euro HERE at Tiger Tailor: Coyote Brown, Multicam, Noir (Black), Ranger Green.
