Belts keep your pants up, that's at least their most basic function. But a belt can do so much more. For example, it can save your life, namely when it carries all your equipment on your body, well organized and within reach. From TERRA B based in Berlin, there is a Combat Belt Set that we took a closer look at.

But first, let's start with the pants: The TERRA B Set consists of the mentioned Inner Belt, the Duty Belt, and a Battle Belt, which is actually an overlay. In the image you can see the inner belt. This belt does a very good job of holding up your pants and is extremely flat.

It is closed with Velcro and the entire outer side is covered with loop Velcro. This allows the wearer to fasten their Duty or Battle Belt to it. But more on that later.

The Duty Belt is the real workhorse of this TERRA B set. It is 45 mm wide, 5mm thick, constructed with reinforcement and the outside is covered with laser-cut PALS. Here you can attach your MOLLE pouches as you please. If you look closely, you will also notice vertical slots. Thanks to these, the user can also mount the pouches horizontally. An interesting approach.

To ensure that the belt does not come loose, it is closed with a Cobra buckle from AustriAlpin. A solid choice.

The Battle Belt from TERRA B is actually a padded overlay for the Duty Belt. It is made of the same robust laminate as the Plate Carrier from TERRA BHERE in our review – and has laser-cut 1 cm wide strips with 5 mm wide gaps between them along the entire length.

This allows you to mount the pouches horizontally even with the padding deployed. However, there is a small drawback to the construction of the Battle Belt. If you slide it over the Duty Belt, you have to carefully plan where you want each pouch to be beforehand, as you will need to let the Duty Belt peek out between the loops each time.

This can be clearly seen with the holster. In this area, the belt sits on top of the loops of the Battle Belt. Also, when you want to replace a pouch that is overlaid, you may need to remove all the pouches. So it's better to invest some brainpower beforehand and plan exactly where each pouch should go and how it will fit when you put the belt on.

The padded inside of the Battle Belt is equipped with hook Velcro. This securely connects your work belt to the Inner Belt, ensuring that nothing slips. A good solution with clean stitching.

If you don't need the Velcro, simply cover it on the Battle Belt with a strip of loop Velcro and you're done. This strip is actually included. You can also order the Inner Belt with hook Velcro on the inside, so it can attach to the Inner Belt on its own – without the padding of the Battle Belt.

This is roughly how the belt looks when worn around your hips. Stylish, isn't it? We also equipped the Belt Set with some pouches from TERRA B. In the image, you can see the Discreet Pouch Small twice. Once with a TA30 from Nextorch and once filled with a spare magazine.

A nice detail of all the pouches can be found on the back, namely the attachment options. Here the user has a classic PALS mounting available or a pass-through for the belt. These make the pouches much more stable on the belt than with PALS alone. This shows good thinking, which we like.

This is what it looks like in detail on the belt. A very flat and functional mounting option.

Another plus, the Discreet Pouches stay slightly open after pulling, which makes refilling much easier.
