Introducing the new Tasmanian Tiger Transporter Small, perfect for shorter missions with its 110-liter capacity. Made of durable Cordura, it can be used as a trolley or backpack. Available for 340 euros in black. Visit www.tasmaniantiger.info for more details.
At the IWA, we showed you the new Tasmanian Tiger MIL Transporter, now it's time to introduce the little brother. Here is the Transporter Small, which is perfect for shorter missions and can swallow all the equipment.
"Small" may be the trolley in direct comparison to the Heavy Frame with 155 liters or the new MIL Transporter with 190 liters, but with 110 liters, the Transporter Small is anything but small.
It is 78cm long, 40cm high and 35cm wide with a total weight (empty) of 5 kilograms. It is made of 700d Cordura, like most TT items.
The advantage over the large TT trolleys: The Transporter Small can also be carried on the back with straps. Extremely practical when living in a multi-story house and only having stairs available.
The bottom of the bag consists of the frame with wheels, sturdy plastic accents at the corners and in the center for the protection of the bag, as well as two skids.
Under the Velcro field in the center, the D-rings are hidden, which hold the supplied shoulder straps. This allows the Transporter to be converted from a trolley to a backpack in seconds.
Carrying and compression straps are sewn extra strong to the bag with wide webbing and end in a wide metal guide. Both can also be quickly removed when not needed.
For better grip, the shoulder straps can be fastened together. On the bag is another carrying handle for lifting when the shoulder straps are removed.
An A5 clear pocket can hold documents or owner/information on the top of the bag.
On the long side, you will find a MOLLE field with another document/map pocket behind it. The opposite side of the bag has no further divisions.
At the front, another quick-access pocket has been added. Again, MOLLE on the outside for attaching additional small bags. Access is via two YKK zippers that can be connected together to attach a lock.
Inside, on the back wall, three elastic inserts are attached for organization.
The main compartment is a huge hole. Here too, there are several slip pockets for organization. On the long sides, there are three each, ...
... one large pocket on the head and foot end each. At the bottom, you can see a Take-Down bag from NcStar, which is secured with the Transporter's compression straps.
The bottom compression without a bag. It can also be used to secure clothes, etc.
The lid of the Transporter consists of a huge mesh pocket on the inside, perfect for clothing.
So this is what a complete loadout could look like. As a mission bag for short missions, the TT Transporter Small offers the perfect size.
CONCLUSION: No more bags here, bags there – the TT Transporter Small swallows all the equipment and organizes it properly. Add to that the practical trolley function with wheels and pull handle, as well as the ability to strap the baby on your back. Unless you're going on a multi-week mission, the Transporter Small is a very good choice.
You can get the Transporter Small at all retailers that carry Tasmanian Tiger. It costs 340 euros and is currently only available in black.
