There are many ways to keep your hands warm in winter. One comfortable method is with muff hand warmers. Coming from the fashion sector, they have been available in tactical variations for some time now. This Tac Muff Hand Warmer comes from Tasmanian Tiger.
The outer material is made of 700D Cordura, here in black. Inside, there is plush T-microfleece. In between, there is a T-insulation lining. This is quite unusual and makes the muff very warm. Animal lovers unite. Whether with or without gloves, the muff is large enough!
To prevent heat loss too easily, the opening can be regulated. Simply pull on the bungee cord to adjust it.
Special feature of the TT Tac Muff, there are two bungee cords. Depending on preference, you can adjust the desired opening. In other words, there is a size that fits all hands and gloves.
Once turned inside out, you can see the warm t-fleece that adorns the inside. Also visible is the hand coming through from the other side. As expected from a muff, you can essentially give yourself a hand inside. There is no separation, so it is not recommended to store things in it.
On the back, there are two bungee cords, which initially make you wonder what they are for. These are for compression, so the Tac Muff becomes smaller when not in use. Simply fold the muff together and then pull the cords over it.
The muff from the back. It is mounted using a MOLLE system. The setup also allows you to thread a belt through it and use it without a plate carrier.
CONCLUSION: The warmest muff we have had so far! Robust and really very warm. It also offers enough space. The only small drawback - we would like a strap to be included that allows you to quickly strap on the muff when needed.
HERE you will find the TT Tac Muff Hand warmer at Tasmanian Tiger. Available in black, olive, khaki, and coyote brown colors for about 40 euros.
