We like it when backpacks are versatile. The new Tac Modular SW Pack 25 from Tasmanian Tiger is one such backpack. It has been designed for both daily use and covert operations, and today we are going to take a closer look at it.

What first catches the eye is the absence of any PALS or MOLLE loops on the outside. This makes the Tac Modular SW Pack 25 less conspicuous in everyday use. OK, the stone gray color is still associated with the military, but in black it looks quite civilian.

The backpack measures approximately 56 x 28 x 18 cm and weighs around 1.70 kg when empty. The pack volume is 25 liters, which is a very good size for everyday use.

The Tac Modular SW Pack 25 comes with the Padded Back System. This system allows for carrying moderate loads very comfortably. Heavier loads, beyond 20 kg, can also be carried well, but it may become uncomfortable over a longer period of time. However, backpacks shouldn't be overloaded (take the next larger size instead).

The shoulder straps are anatomically shaped and thanks to the chest and hip belt, weight distribution is good. Those who don't need the additional straps can easily remove them.

Our Tac Modular SW Pack 25 is from the new IRR Series by Tasmanian Tiger. This means that the material has been treated so that light in the infrared range does not reflect too strongly. The practical benefit is that the backpack does not light up when viewed through a night vision device. We tested this and the result corresponds to expectations.

Even with additional IR illuminators, the backpack remains well camouflaged. For those who can't immediately spot it in the picture, it is to the right in front of the bush. What appears strangely bright on the left in the picture is our jacket, which is not IR-safe. The whole setup is very clear in our video.

Now back to the features of the Tac Modular SW Pack 25. The hip belt has a small pocket on each side, which is very practical. The hip belt is inserted and fastened with Velcro for fixation. Of course, it can be removed.

On both sides, the Tac Modular SW Pack 25 has a side pocket. These pockets are great for holding your bottles or ponchos, as long as the backpack itself is not too full. Why? The compartments are made of 700d Cordura, like the entire backpack, and therefore not very elastic.

In the side pockets, you will find a loop side Velcro area. This is practical because you can attach loops or other organizational elements here.

On the left side of the Tac Modular SW Pack 25, the viewer sees two black straps with holes. With these and some paracord, you can attach sticks or light tripods to the backpack. There is also a cable outlet from the main compartment on both sides.

There is a lid compartment on the top, as you already know and appreciate from the Modular Pack 30.

Inside the lid compartment, you will find a familiar sight: useful compartments and D-rings. What's new is the Velcro area in the lower part of the compartment. Here you can organize and customize the space yourself.

On the front of the Tac Modular SW Pack 25, there is a flat compartment with a side opening. This is perfect for storing maps or documents. The opening is only on the left side.

In the lower compartment, where the rain cover is usually stored, the Tac Modular SW Pack 25 features a
