Wouldn't it be great if you could convert and upgrade the TASMANIAN TIGER Modular Pack 30 into a medic pack? Good news, you can, with the Modular Medic Insert 30 VL. Thanks to a multitude of velcroed clear pockets, your favorite backpack becomes a lifesaver.

You'll receive the Medic Inserts in this simple yet very practical pouch, which you can also use for other purposes.

Quick to unzip and the many pockets of the Modular Medic Inserts 30 are revealed.

Here we have laid out the entire contents. You get a total of nine pockets, one panel, and additional accessories. In naming, we follow the nomenclature of TASMANIAN TIGER:

  • 3 accessory pockets 18 x 11 x 5 cm
  • 2 accessory pockets 24 x 21 x 7 cm
  • 2 accessory pockets 19 x 13 x 3.5 cm
  • 1 accessory pocket 18 x 16 x 2 cm
  • 1 accessory pocket 14 x 38 x 4 cm
  • 1 panel with elastic loops 17 x 18 cm
  • 1 panel 18 x 53 cm
  • 2 elastic bands with loops 10 x 20 x 2 cm
  • 2 TQ holders 2.5 x 21 cm

The backs of all pockets and panels are equipped with velcro. However, on a few pockets, the velcro looks a bit "odd."

This is because the velcro strips are covered with "blind velcro." The blind velcro strips are included for all pockets. This prevents the pocket from catching on anything where it shouldn't be velcroed.

With the blind velcro, two pockets can also be attached to each other if it is advantageous for you.

To fill the pockets properly, we enlisted the help of a fully trained paramedic with a well-stocked medic backpack. He naturally uses a TASMANIAN TIGER First Responder Move on pack as a full pack that can be used modularly. Lots of life-saving stuff inside. Now let's introduce you to the pockets of the Modular Medic Inserts individually in detail.

Accessory Pockets 18 x 11 x 5

The pockets themselves are equipped with rubber loops inside to keep small items in place. Various colored zipper pulls/paracords are included for all pockets to ensure quick identification. Blue and red velcro strips are also included for personalizing the pockets.

Here you can see the three bags fully filled and color-coordinated. On the part of TASMANIAN TIGER, it is intended to attach these three bags to the large Velcro panel. The panel itself is attached to the lid of the Modular Packs 30.

Accessory bags 24 x 21 x 7

The largest bag in the set is included twice. Large rubber loops ensure organization.

In the backpack, they are supposed to be attached to the back part. These bags are very suitable for larger medical items, such as Sam Splints or really large bandages.

Accessory bags 19 x 13 x 3.5

This pair of bags is similar in size to the set of three, but simpler. So no Velcro area on the front and no internal division.

We have put burn wound dressings, fixation bandages, and blister plasters in here. Yes, one should also be prepared for small emergencies. These two transparent pockets fit perfectly on the side of the Modular Pack 30.

Accessory bag 14 x 38 x 4

An elongated bag without much frills. It is intended for the other side of the backpack.

It offers perfect space for infusions and accessories.

Elastic bands with loops 10 x 20 x 2

The name says it all. Large compartments are sewn on one side so that nothing slips through.

The elastic bands are the perfect holder for bandages of all kinds. Here we have stored the Hartmann bandages - HERE in the SPARTANAT review - in all sizes.

Of course, glow sticks or pens can also fit here additionally. On the right side of the image, you can see the "Panel with elastic loops 17 x 18" and the "Accessory bag 18 x 16 x 2". Both are velcroed to the back of the large panel.

TQ holder 2.5 x 21

The TQ holders are on the right side of the image. On the left side, you can see the "Panel with elastic loops 17x18" in its full glory.

The application is incredibly simple, insert the TQ holder into the MOLLE/PALS loops…

… and thread and tighten the tourniquet. Done. The life-saving fasteners are now quickly accessible and safely stored.

The complete system

Once filled, the Modular Pack 30 looks something like this. Packed with medical supplies that hopefully will never be needed in action. The individual bandages and utensils are clearly recognizable and quickly accessible. This is how order is maintained with everything within reach.

Of course, everyone can tailor the backpack to their own needs. It is not necessary to use all pockets. Thanks to the high modularity of the Velcro, the inserts can also be used in other backpacks and bags. It also doesn't have to be strictly medical material that you put in the pockets.

At first glance, the interior with the Modular Medic Insert may seem a bit chaotic, but we assure you, it is not. Here is the video of the bag set on YouTube.

CONCLUSION: The Modular Medic Insert 30 offers a variety of storage options and an unprecedented modularity in backpacks and bags. The individual pockets are well thought out and all have a practical size. It turns a great backpack into a great medic backpack.

The Modular Medic Insert 30 from Tasmanian Tiger starting at 140 euros is available in Olive and Coyote Brown at all dealers of TASMANIAN TIGER.
