A Medic Pouch/IFAK should be easily accessible for the user, because every second counts in an emergency. Ideally, such a first aid kit should be flexibly integrable into the equipment. Whether on a plate carrier, chest rig, backpack, or belt. The pouch should contain the complete standard set of IFAK materials, have a relatively small weight, a compact and flat design, and the medic panel should be removable. All these advantages are packed into the TASMANIAN TIGER IFAK Pouch Dual. SPARTANAT takes a closer look at it.
The IFAK Pouch Dual has dimensions of 110 x 200 x 35 mm and weighs a light 190 grams. On the front, there is a 100 x 50 mm loop surface for velcro patches or velcro labels.
Made of laminated CORDURA material, the IFAK Pouch Dual consists of a carrying case and an internal first aid panel. Back to Back velcro strips for individual attachment inside are included in the delivery.
CORDURA with a fiber strength of 700 den combines the high abrasion and tear resistance of classic 1000 den fabric with the light weight of 500 den fabric.
The carrying case features a MOLLE reverse system on the back.
This makes the IFAK particularly flexible in integrating into the equipment. Either using the MOLLE system on vests, plate carriers, or backpacks….
…or through four loops for attachment to belts up to 50 mm wide.
Behind that, there is another option to carry the IFAK Pouch Dual with a belt or battle belt.
Access to first aid material is obtained by sliding the first aid panel out from the carrying case of the IFAK Pouch Dual on both sides.
The foldable, individually customizable first aid panel can be opened via a marked velcro strap.
The first aid panel is secured with velcro fastening in the carrying case.
For attaching various MOLLE items or velcro patches or labels, the panel on the left side has three horizontal and four vertical MOLLE rows with loop velcro.
The middle part of the panel is suitable for storing various medical items such as bandages or scissors. These items are secured with elastic cords and stoppers.
If the panel is heavily loaded, the IFAK Pouch Dual comes with a 90 cm long Back to Back velcro strip to additionally secure the items.
Well-stocked and ready for action.
On the IFAK Pouch Dual, there are laser-cut slots for a MOLLE compatible pouch. With the laser-cut attachment points, a tourniquet can be fixed with shock cord if needed.
CONCLUSION: TASMANIAN TIGER has added a very good compact IFAK Pouch Dual to its range of first aid bags/IFAK. The panel with essential first aid materials can be pulled out with one hand motion. This way, all wound care products are readily available with a simple action. The craftsmanship of the IFAK Pouch Dual is excellent as expected from TASMANIAN TIGER.
The TASMANIAN TIGER IFAK Pouch Dual is available from 38 EUR in Olive, Black, and Coyote Brown at all other retailers carrying TASMANIAN TIGER products.
