Not only on vacation do we rely on Low Profile. LP stands for the same thing in this Tasmanian Tiger Chest Rig. Simple, easy, configurable as you need it. We took a look at the TT Chest Rig LP for you. This is what the whole set looks like: It comes with a panel with corresponding shoulder straps and a pouch with various clips for you.
Let's start with the harness: Keep it simple - it's thin and flat, doesn't add bulk, and is made of breathable mesh. Ideal for vacation - or work in hot countries.
Inside shot: All mesh or what? Very thin, very light, soft and comfortable to wear.
We always like to look at the details, they show what the manufacturer had in mind. You can install clips. Here they are kept safe, so nothing happens to them. You can see the cover, you can see the strap...
And here the cover is removed, the clip is open. The loop is not lost because it is sewn on.
Mounting the shoulder straps is easy: The material of the Chest Rig is laser cut. The strap is simply looped through and pulled. The plastic part acts like a button, it stays in place. By the way: it doesn't always have to be a harness.
In the pouch that comes with the Chest Rig LP, there are various buckles included. What cannot be used as a spare part - so you can always use the individual items - is intended to strip the Chest Rig from its harness and then integrate it into a plate carrier or backpack. Attach two clips to the chest, one pair each to pull back on the right and left of the armor.
By the way, if it ever gets too tight over your stomach during "vacation," it's great if you can open something in the front. The Chest Rig LP is "Split Front" - so it can be separated with a zipper. Unzipped from the bottom, closed from the top. Classic.
When the Chest Rig is open, the wearer can put it on and take it off like a vest. This is also extremely practical and an advantage over models that are not separable.
Inside, there are three velcro straps overlaid on both sides. These are also used for integration into a plate carrier. Press on and the Chest Rig is fixed to the velcro of the plate carrier, with the clips it is pulled tight to the armor.
The shoulder straps on the back. We particularly like the flowers on this amazing Hawaiian shirt. Incredibly cheerful design!
The bar in the middle is made of flexible material. This provides more flexibility.
Detail on the straps down to the panel: a loop helps to manage the excess material. And it can also be separated again with a clip.
